Abstract
Müziğinde izlenimcilik akımının etkilerini taşıyan Maurice Ravel, 20. yüzyıl Fransız müziğinin önemli isimlerinden biridir. Eserlerinde kullandığı armoni, ritmik yapılar, 9’lu, 11’li ve 13’lü gibi geniş akorlar ve paralel 5’li ve 8’li akorlar gibi müzikal öğelerle geleneksel formları zenginleştirerek özgün bir müzik dili oluşturmuştur. Maurice Ravel’in bestelediği ve piyano repertuarının önemli eserlerinden biri olan Gaspard de la nuit, bu özellikleri bünyesinde barındıran örneklerden biri olarak düşünülebilir. Gaspard de la nuit, düzyazı şiirinin öncülerinden Fransız şair Aloysius Bertrand’ın 53 düzyazı şiirinden oluşan bir koleksiyondan seçilmiş olan Ondine, Le Gibet ve Scarbo şiirlerinden etkilenilerek bestelenmiştir. Eserin her bir bölümü farklı karakterler ve hikâyeleri içermektedir. Doğrudan şiir ile ilişkilidir. Ondine’de bir su perisinin hüzünlü hikâyesi, Le Gibet’te çan seslerinin yankılarıyla darağacında asılı bir insanın bulunduğu yaşam ve ölüm gibi duyguların hissedildiği karanlık bir ortam ve Scarbo’da ise uyuyan bir insanın odasına giren bir cücenin çeşitli hareketleriyle gizemli bir atmosfer yaratması anlatılmaktadır. Bu makalede ilk olarak bestecinin piyano müziği hakkında bilgi verildikten sonra Gaspard de la nuit eseri incelenmiştir.

Abstract
Maurice Ravel, who has the influence of the impressionism movement in his music, is one of the important figures of 20th century French music. He created a unique musical language by enriching traditional forms with musical elements such as harmony, rhythmic structures, wide chords such as 9th, 11th and 13th chords and parallel 5th and 8th chords that he used in his works. Gaspard de la nuit, which was composed by Maurice Ravel and one of the important works in piano repertoiré, can be considered as one of the incorporated of these features. Gaspard de la nuit was composed by being influenced by the poems Ondine, Le Gibet and Scarbo, which was selected from a collection of 53 prose poems by the French poet Aloysius Bertrand, who is one of the pioneers of prose poetry. Each part in the work contains different characters and stories. It is directly related to poetry. It is told that the sad story of a water fairy in Ondine, a dark environment where emotions such as life and death are felt, with a person hanging on the gallows with the echoes of bells in Le Gibet and a dwarf entering the room of a sleeping person creates a mysterious atmosphere with his various movements in Scarbo. In this article, first of all, after giving information about his piano music, Gaspard de la nuit was analyzed.
