Abstract
Öge, nesne, şekil vb. unsurların bir parçası ya da bütünü olan, gösteren ve gösterilenden oluşan “gösterge” ile yeni anlam katmanları üretilir. Edebiyat ve sinemada göstergelerin varlığı insanın yaşamına dair tüm oluşumlarda kendini belli eder. Bu iki sanat ve bilim dalının toplumsal düzlemde sosyoloji ile olan bağı karşılıklı bir etkileşimi açığa çıkarır. Sosyolojik açıdan Byung-Chul Han'ın modern insanının yaşamı doğrultusunda çerçevesini belirlediği “Şeffaflık” hâli; olumluluk, teşhircilik, apaçıklık, pornografik, ivme, teklifsizlik, ifşa ve kontrol gibi özellikler barındırmasıyla yeni bir toplum modeli savını içerir. Bu kavramların hem gerçek yaşamda hem sanatsal yaratımlarda karşılığının olması disiplinler arası irdelemeyi olanaklı hâle getirir. Çalışmanın kapsamı itibariyle olumluluk, teşhircilik ve kontrol tanımlamalarının bir öykü ve bir film özelinde izinin sürülmesi yapıtlara yeni bir perspektiften yaklaşmayı sağlar. Bu bağlamda makalede, Elif Türkölmez'in Balayı adlı öyküsü ile John Carpenter yönetmenliğinde çekilen They Live filmine, Byung-Chul Han'ın Şeffaflık Toplumu yapıtı üzerinden bir okuma denemesi yapılarak yazarın ileri sürdüğü düşüncelerin izleri iki gösterge üzerinden ele alınacaktır.

Abstract
With the "sign" which is a part or a whole of elements like component, object and shape, consisting of the signifier and the signified are produced new layers of meaning. The existence of signs in literature and cinema reveals itself in all formations of human life. The connection between these two branches of art and science and sociology on the social level reveals a mutual interaction. From a sociological perspective, the state of "Transparency", which Byung-Chul Han defines as a framework in line with the life of modern people; It contains the claim of a new social model with features such as positivity, exhibitionism, obviousness, pornography, acceleration, informality, disclosure and control. The fact that these concepts have equivalents in both real life and artistic creations makes interdisciplinary analysis possible. In terms of the scope of the study, tracing the definitions of positivity, exhibitionism and control in a story and a film allows to approach the works from a new perspective. In this article, a reading attempt will be made on Elif Türkölmez's story Balayı and the movie They Live, directed by John Carpenter, through Byung-Chul Han's work Transparency Society, and the traces of the author's ideas will be discussed through two indicators.
