TÜRKİYE’DE TARİHİN SOSYAL BİLGİLERDEKİ YERİNİN DERS KİTAPLARINA İLİŞKİN ÇALIŞMALAR BAĞLAMINDA İNCELENMESİ

Eğitimli birey, tarihi bir mercekten bakarak günümüzü daha iyi anlar. Tarih dersleri, öğrencilere bu beceriyi kazandırır, böylece güncel sorunlara daha bilinçli yaklaşabilirler. Sosyal bilgiler dersi de birçok disiplinden oluşmaktadır. Tarih ise bu disiplinlerin başında gelmektedir. Bu yüzden sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında tarih ile ilgili birçok çalışma yapılmıştır. Nitel yöntemin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada bu konu ile ilgili literatür taraması yapılmış ve bilimsel yöntem ile çözümlenmiştir. Google, Dergipark ve ulusal tez merkezinde yer alan makale ve tezler bu araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Tarama sonucunda örneklem olarak farklı yıllarda yayınlanmış 2 doktora tezi 11 yüksek lisans tezi ile 15 makaleye ulaşılmıştır. Ulaşılan bu çalışmalar analiz edilerek tablolaştırılmıştır. Yayınlanan çalışmaların amaçları ise sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında tarih konularını eski yıllara ait ders kitapları ile karşılaştırmak ya da başka ülkelerdeki kitaplar ile tarih konularını karşılaştırmak, tarihin ders kitaplarında nasıl sunulduğu hangi değerlerin ve becerilerin kazanılmasında etkili olduğunu anlamak sosyal bilgiler dersinde tarihin yerini ve önemini saptamak olarak özetlenebilir. Yapılan çalışmalardan tarihin ise sosyal bilgiler için son derece önemli olduğuna öğrencilerin geçmiş ile gelecek arasında bağlantı kurmasına yani geçmişten ders alarak geleceğe yönelik planlar yapmasına ve kendi kültürel geçmişini, kökenini anlayarak kültürel mirasın korunmasına yönelik farkındalığının artmasını sağladığı söylenebilir. |

Abstract
An educated individual understands the present better through a historical lens. History courses provide students with this skill so that they can approach current problems more consciously. The social studies course consists of many disciplines. History is one of these disciplines. Therefore, many studies have been conducted on history in social studies textbooks. In this study, in which qualitative method was used, the literature on this subject was reviewed and analyzed with the scientific method. Articles and theses in Google, Dergipark and national thesis center constituted the sample of this study. As a result of the review, 2 doctoral dissertations, 11 master's theses and 15 articles published in different years were reached as a sample. These studies were analyzed and tabulated. The aims of the published studies can be summarized as comparing history topics in social studies textbooks with textbooks of previous years or comparing history topics with books in other countries, understanding how history is presented in textbooks and which values and skills are effective in the acquisition of history, and determining the place and importance of history in the social studies course. From the studies conducted, it can be concluded that history is extremely important for social studies, that it helps students to establish a connection between the past and the future, that is, to make plans for the future by taking lessons from the past, and to understand their own cultural past and origins and to understand the difference in protecting cultural heritage.
