Abstract
Tior Reich, 2. Dünya Savaşı sonrası dönemde İngiliz tekstil tasarımının yön veren, öncü tasarımcılarından biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Reich, yaşamı boyunca tasarım, yaratma, uygulama ve üretme isteği ve çabasını yenilikçi bir tavırla kesintisiz olarak sürdürmüş tekstil tasarımına büyük katkılar sağlamıştır. Dokuma, baskı kumaş tasarımı, tapestry, seramik, mobilya tasarımı ve mimari gibi birbirinden farklı disiplinler de özgün yeniklikçi tasarımlar üretmiştir. Tibor Reich yaşamı boyunca 30.000’den fazla eser bırakmıştır. Bu tasarımlar, Victor Albert Müzesi, Stockholm Ulusal Müzesi, Leeds Üniversitesi, Shakespeare Center VAD’s ve Reich ailesi arşivlerinde sergilenmektedir. Bu makalede Tibor Reich’in ilk çocukluk yıllarından başlayarak, tasarımcı kimliği, tekstil tasarımına yaklaşımı ve katkıları, yenilikçi deneysel uygulamalarla oluşturduğu ürünleri incelenmiş ve yapılan geniş literatür taraması sonucunda sunulmuştur.

Tibor Reich Guiding The textile Design with his Innovative Approaches Tibor Reich is considered to be one of the most prominent pioneers of British textile design after Word War Two. Reich, throughout his life has garnered an interest for design and also was a very creative individual. Using these skills, Tibor has used his creative style to create countless works, therefore contributing massively to the textile design field. Tibor being so prolific, he has created works from different fields like; weaving, printing design, tapestry, ceramics, furniture design and architecture using innovative designs. In fact, Reich created over 30,000 different art pieces throughout his life. These pieces are kept in different museums around the world which are: Nationalmuseum (Stockholm), University of Leeds, Shakespeare Center VAD’s, Victoria and Albert Museum. You can also find some of these art pieces at the Reich family archives. To sum it up, at this article, I will be talking about Tibor’s contributions to the textile design world starting from his childhood, his identity as a young designer and his art pieces which he created with his innovative design techniques.
