Abstract
Türk edebiyatında hikâye alanında önemli isimlerden biri olarak kabul edilen Refik Halit Karay hikâyelerini fikir, eleştiri ve mizah unsurlarıyla ören bir sanatkârdır. Yazara ait olan Memleket Hikâyeleri ve Gurbet Hikâyeleri adlı eserler, Türk edebiyatında Maupassant tarzı hikâyeciğin en güzel örneklerinden kabul edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada Refik Halit Karay’ın Memleket Hikâyeleri ve Gurbet Hikâyeleri adlı kitapları, Türkçe Sözlük’e katkıları bakımından değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında yazarın hikâyelerinde kullandığı ancak Türkçe Sözlük’te yer bulmamış sözcükler ve Sözlük’te yer almasına karşın örneklerle somutlaştırılmamış bazı madde başlarına uygun cümleler incelenmiştir. Bu anlamda yeni kullanımların tespit edilmesiyle, Türkçe sözlük çalışmalarına katkıda bulunulması hedeflenmiştir.

Abstract
Refik Halit Karay, who is accepted as one of the important names in the field of storytelling in Turkish literature, is an artist who weaves his stories with the elements of ideas, criticism and humor. Memleket Hikâyeleri and Gurbet Hikâyeleri belonging to the author have been accepted as the best examples of Maupassant style storytelling in Turkish literature. In this study, Refik Halit Karay 's books named Memleket Hikâyeleri and Gurbet Hikâyeleri have been evaluated in terms of their contributions to Turkish Dictionary. Within the scope of the study, the words used by the author in these stories but could not get into the Turkish Dictionary, and the sentences that are appropriate to some headwords which are not embodied with examples although they are included in the Dictionary are examined. In this sense, it is aimed to contribute to Turkish dictionary studies by identifying new uses.
