Abstract
İnterior olarak tanımlanan iç mekân resimleri, 17. yy’da Felemenk sanatında popülerlik kazanmış ve portre, manzara gibi bağımsız bir konu olarak sanat tarihinde yerini almıştır. Protestanlığın dini resimlere getirdiği yasak üzerine yaygınlaşan bu tür resimlerde gündelik yaşamı konu olan iç mekân resimleri, daha çok kadından beklenen toplumsal rollere göndermeler içermektedir. Meryem Ana’nın kutsallığıyla ilişkilendirilen bu yaklaşım, yüzyıllar boyu Avrupa sanatında gelenekselleşmiştir. Modern Dönemin ilk yarıyılında “Altın Çağı”nı yaşayan Danimarka sanatı da iç mekân resimleri aracılığı ile toplumca onaylanan kadın rolünü mekândaki huzur kavramı ile sembolleştirmiştir. Bu çalışmada amaçlanan; mekâna dair cinsiyetçi yaklaşımların toplumsal ve kültürel etkileri üzerinden kadın-mekân ilişkisinin sanata yansıma biçimlerini Danimarka sanatı üzerinden ele almaktır.

Abstract
Interior area paintings, defined as interiors, gained popularity in Danish art in the 17th century and became an independent subject such as portrait and landscape. The interiors of this type of everyday life, which became widespread upon the prohibition brought by Protestantism to religious paintings, include references to the social roles expected from women. This approach, which is associated with the sanctity of the Virgin Mary, become traditionalized in European art for centuries. In the first half of the Modern Era, Danish art, which experienced the ’Golden Age’, symbolized the role of women, approved by the society through interior paintings, with the concept of peace in the space. The aim of this study is to examine the reflection of women-space relationship to art through the examination of Danish art, by considering the social and cultural effects of sexist approaches to space.
