Abstract
Bu çalışmada, yüzyıllar boyunca gerçekleşen değişim ve dönüşümlerle şekillenen beden kavramının farklı yönleri ele alınarak, bedenin her dönemde farklı ritüellerle karşımıza çıktığı ve dolayısıyla yaşadığı dönemin şartları doğrultusunda biçim değiştirdiğine şahit olmaktayız. Bu değişim ve dönüşümlerin bilinçli ya da bilinçsiz bir şekilde devingen bir yapı oluşturarak karşımıza çıkması kuşkusuz bedene yönelik birçok psikolojik ve fiziksel sorgulama alanlarını da beraberinde getirdiğini gözlemlemek mümkündür. Bu doğrultuda, bedenin kendisini bir meta olarak sunduğu dönemlerden, bir sanat malzemesine dönüştüğü anlara kadarki olan serüveni sanat tarihsel süreçteki örneklerle ortaya konularak literatüre katkı sağlanmaya çalışıldığı düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca bedenin metafor olarak günümüze kadarki farklı metot ve anlatım biçimlerinin neler olduğu üzerinde durularak yeni anlatım biçimleri ve önermeler sunulmaya çalışılmıştır.

Abstract
In this study, by considering the different aspects of the concept of the body, which has been shaped by the changes and transformations that have taken place over the centuries, we witness that the body appears before us with different rituals in every period and therefore changes its shape in line with the conditions of the period in which it lives. It is possible to observe that these changes and transformations, consciously or unconsciously, by creating a dynamic structure, bring along many psychological and physical questioning areas in human beings. It is thought that it is tried to contribute to the literature by revealing the adventure of the body from the periods it presents itself as a commodity to the moments when it turns into an art material with examples from the art historical process. In addition, it has been tried to present new forms of expression and propositions by emphasizing the different methods and forms of expression of the body as a metaphor until today.
