Abstract
In the period we are in which is expressed as the knowledge; knowledge management has an effective role for operations in the development of organizational skills, in the formation of effective decision-making processes, in the discovery of opportunities, in the management of technological innovations, in the elimination of errors. For this reason, today's businesses need to restructure and strategically address all their processes in the context of 'knowledge management' in order to sustain their lives and achieve sustainable competitive advantage. In today's globalized world, businesses especially SMEs are required to develop viable knowledge management strategies and these strategies are necessary for sustaining their existence in a highly competitive environment. In this study, knowledge management practices in SMEs will be mentioned and the importance of strategic knowledge management for SMEs and knowledge management strategies that are applied will be given.
