@article{2017,title={AN GEOSITE AREA IN SİVAS PROVINCE: EĞRIBUCAK ROCKY},abstractNode={In this study has addressed the Eğribucak Rocky geosites area in Sivas Province. These geosites, which it are located an average altitude 1420 metres above sea level in between Eğribucak and Arpayazı villages, are only 17 km away from city center of Sivas. Structure, which it is occured to slope angle of ?800 due to the tectonism of the sandstone layers in Miocene period, has shown a hogbeck type landform the peculiar to monoclinal structure. This rare examples of natural events that can be encounter have been defined by us as geosites. Shapes that are easily noticeable even from a distance, it is covered an area of approximately 20 km2 with the surface area of the sandstones. Area is also with natural scenery, tafoni ve caves, at the same time, is an important frequent destination of Upper Kızılırmak Geopark.
