Ottaman Turkish language is also a very rich language in terms of the words related camels. In addition to Turkish words, Arabic orijinated words have also been widely used. Specially the words used in the teaching of Arabic in the Ottoman madrasas are important sources of reference in terms of the use of the words related to the camel. Studies on words will contribute significantly to the detection and explaining the meaning of these words. Knowledge of these words will reveal the role of camel in the social, economic and military life of the Turks, and answer to the question of why the majority of Ahterî-i Kebir's words, which has been used for five centuries, is devoted to camel related terms. In this study; it was wanted to reveal the importance the camel in of human life with its use of multi-purpose like carrying, nutrition, transportation, war vehicle as an important part of daily life. he aim is to contribute to new studies related to this subject. For this purpose, Muslihiddin Mustafa Ahterî's Ahterî-i Kebir dictionary was consulted.There are many words related to camel in the dictionary, but it has been determined that there is no study on these words in the zone of language.
