Abstract
This article aims to investigate the types of materials used in the production of beads and beads, which are used as jewelry objects in the context of personal ornaments. The scope of the study started with sea shells, which were widely used in the Paleolithic period, and the Neolithic, the type of material in the following Chalcolithic periods and the technically enriched bead species. Among the personal ornaments identified by labor intensive archaeological studies, beads made of sea shell, bone, stone, terracotta, metal, artificial glass materials were examined in historical order and the information on the production technologies of beads were investigated in depth.
