SULTAN III. MUSTAFA AND SULTAN ABDULHAMID AGE ISTANBUL FOUNTAINS


Fountains which have an important place in Ottoman civilization, especially in cities, has played an important role in the shaping of neighborhoods and districts. They are often shaped around a fountain, formed by a mosque in Ottoman cities and neighborhoods, and the names of the potential registrants of these structures were mentioned. Due to the cost being lower than other structures and building was built as the Ottoman social stratification is a type of charity by each sector. In this study, seen in the westernization of architecture in the Ottoman Empire, Istanbul, Sultan Mustafa III. and in the era of Sultan Abdulhamid I public fountains of the fountain with the Ottoman archive documents is analyzed and the reflection of his restorations has been shown.
