Kara Walker, who came to the world as a child of Afro American family, lived and reflected the troubles of coming to the world as a Negro. She takes refuge in the form of black paper cut out when expressing the troubles of being black. It makes versatile productions using mediums such as painting, text, shadow puppet, film and sculpture. Although the forms seems simple which she used, the stories they tell have created a striking effect. In the study, after analyzing Walker's life story briefly, an analysis of the black shadows will be made.
