Undoubtedly, the most striking of these are two semais belonging to Bûhûrizâde Mustafa Itrî, one of the greatest composers of Turkish Music. In this study, Kevserî Mecmuası, obtained as microfilm from the National Library, has been examined and the transcription of two peşrev, from Nühüft and Rehâvî makam belonging to Itrî, in the journal has been made. In terms of shedding light on the study, firstly, the general introduction of the journal has been made and information about the author was given. Besides this, Kantemiroğlu note writing system which is used in mecmua has been mentioned and the peşrev of Itrî in the Kevserî Mecmuası to be transcribed has been rewritten according to Arel-Ezgi-Uzdilek system. Also, the adaptation of Sakîl tempo to modern tempo writing has been made. Finally, the translated works were examined according to the descriptions of the modes in circles. We are of opinion that performing of the works, which we have translated, by the present-day performers will help keeping the musical understanding and provide better understanding of the era.},author={Tolga OTER},year={2018},journal={The Journal of Social Sciences}}
