Abstract

Uşak province, one of the cities in Aegean Region, has five towns, Banaz, Sivaslı, Eşme, Ulubey and Karahallı. Our study includes fountains in the Sivaslı district in the south-east of Uşak city center from these districts. Eighteen villages connected to the Sivaslı district were scanned and eighteen fountains were identified in twelve villages. In fountains with a single facade design, the mass is vertically rectangular. The facade composition forms sharp, semi-circular and sliced arches, bowl niches and plasterers. When evaluated in general, it is seen that some of the fountains which have a simple design without decoration have also used vegetative, figurative or object motifs. The fountains have undergone natural or user-induced local losses. The ten of the Sivaslı fountains are dysfunctional today. It is dated to the end of the 18th century and to the end of the 19th century, to the last period of the Ottoman period, according to the architectural features and architectural inscriptions. In the study, Sivaslı fountains were tried to be introduced with their plan, architecture, decoration features and protection situations.
