Abstract

The topic of this study is Rauf Raif Denktaş, Cypriot Turkish leader. Period from his emerging as political entity to this retiring from politics had been discussed. The founding leader of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the voice of the Turkish Cypriots, leader Rauf Denktash, is one of the greatest statesmen in Turkish history as well as in the history of Cyprus. Denktash continued his struggle as a lawyer, a politician and a diplomat as a defender of the Turkish Cypriots' freedom and independence.
