The area where the Seljuk State was most influential and had a say in education had been the Nizamiye madrasas. Nizamülmülk's contributions in the establishment and operation of Nizamiye madrasas were quite large. The first of the Nizamiye madrasas was built in Nişabur, but the Nizamiye Madrasa in Baghdad became one of the more well-known and prominent madrasas. In this madrasa, which has the qualification of a university, positive Sciences as well as religious sciences were taught and very valuable scientific people gave lessons. Nizamiye madrasas served as a school in the future according to its age and important names were brought up in these schools. The students who studied in Nizamiye madrasas were provided shelter, food and drink facilities and served as a foundation. With all these features, Nizamiye madrasas in the Seljuk State influenced the states established after it and became influential in the education system. The concept of the madrasa in the Ottoman Empire was created and developed by being influenced by the Nizamiye madrasas.
