INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF WORK YEAR ON WORK SATISFACTION IN FOOTBALL TRAINERS (DİYARBAKIR CASE EXAMPLE)

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of the working year on job satisfaction in football coaches. The universe of the research is football coaches in Diyarbakır province in 2019-2020. The sample of the research consists of 100 randomly selected coaches who were active football coaches in 2019-2020. In order to determine the demographic information of the trainers participating in the research, the personal information form (marital status, educational status, working year, license type) is a five-point Likert-type scale scored between Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale 1-5. In scale scoring, I am not satisfied at all; 1 point, I am not satisfied; 2 points, I am indecisive; 3 points, I am satisfied; 4 points, I'm very satisfied; It is evaluated as 5 points. There are no reverse scored items in the scale. Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale consists of 20 items that have properties that determine the level of internal, external and general satisfaction. SPSS 22 package program was used to analyze the data obtained in the study and% Frequency, Independet Samples T Test, One Way Anova Tests were applied. The level of significance was evaluated as P <0.05. Findings obtained in the study found that there was no significant difference in the job satisfaction sub-dimensions of the football coaches participating in the study in the variables such as marital status, education level, year of study, and license type (p <0.05). With this study, it was determined that the values of the job satisfaction of the football coaches in the year of work were above normal, and it was determined that the work year was not significant in terms of job satisfaction of the football coaches.
