Abstract

Education is a continuous process with out mentioning the placeand time. Both formalandin formalare the basic factor stoimprove the personal development of an individual through education process. The importance given to the education of an individual is one of the most important significances of the development of the society. There are countries that share the same geography in the world but their economic alands cientific development level sare quite different. It is obvious that the differencese enamong these countries is there sult of importanc et hatthey give to the educational though the natural structure is nearly the same. It is clear that education facilitates touse all the sources rantably and wisely. The countries can not compete with the other sifthey do not give importance to the education and if they do not have qualified human sourcesal though they have vast of natural sources. Today, Middle -East countries withs plendid energy sources make greata mount of money but the reason why the yare not known in the world of technology and science is that they have not invested the necessary amount of money on the education of their people. Also, two countries, North and South Korea situated on Korean Penninsula, are good examples to understand the importance of the subject. The importance given to the education and the investment made in education in Turkey is increasing continuouslyand as a result the statistic sabout education is changing in a positive way. The percentage of the literate people has increasedupto %96.2 in 2015 since the Alphabet revolution realized in 1928. The difference of the landscape and other factors bring some difference in the educational statistics in our country related to the locality. According to the 2015 data, the most literatecity in Turkey is Antalya with the percentage of % 98,5 and the lowest is Şanlıurfa with the percentage of % 90. Inthis study, the education statistics of the two extremcities in Turkey were compared and the reasonsons of the differences were foundoutand solutions were made.
