The term science (terminology), which is defined as the terms used in all terms related to a field, is a field that needs to be discussed for the formation and continuity of qualified and comprehensible studies. The Turkish Folk Music (TFM) terminology, which is the backbone of the lay terminology, is, of course, a field that is expected to be discussed for this purpose but unfortunately due to the negligence of the questions to be answered. At this point, by using the terminology used in Sarısözen's meticulousness and precision studies; how did he convey the diversity that emerges from the geographical difference into the written language? How did he use the language to meet this diversity? Is he going to produce new terms?, Therefore, what is the role of Sarısözen in the process of forming the TFM terminology? while looking for answers to the questions, we will provide an overview of the terminology of TFM that we are using today through the terminology used by Sarısözen.
