The tourism sector, which is expanding day by day, is an important area of competition. The evaluation of alternative tourism areas has become very important in the tourism sector, which contains important economic opportunities. Turkey recently recording significant progress in the field of tourism has become a part of world tourism. In terms of the development of tourism in Turkey in providing a wide variety of sources that have a big impact. Especially, the diversity of alternative tourism areas is an advantage. One of these alternative tourism areas is shopping tourism. Shopping in tourism has an important place in terms of both economic returns and cultural communication. The Taş Han bazaar, which is the subject of our study, is the most important historical and touristic bazaar known in Erzurum, an important winter tourism center. In this context, the evaluation of the bazaar tradesman about the regional tourism has been tried to be discussed. With the formal interview method, data was collected from the shopkeepers and the tourism assessment of the shopkeepers was revealed. As a result of the data obtained, it has been revealed that the bazaar shopkeepers evaluate Taş Han as an important tourist center, but foreign tourist visits are below expected. In addition, the fact that the bazaar is historical has been put forward as an important feature and the issue of inadequate publicity has been underlined.
