Abstract

With this study, it was aimed to determine the job satisfaction and trait anxiety levels of soccer referees. The universe of the research consists of 190 Football referees in Elazığ, Diyarbakır and Malatya. Its sample is composed of 100 arbitrarily selected referees from among these referees who actively act as the referee. In order to determine the demographic information of the trainers participating in the study, the personal information form (marital status, profession, educational status, classification) is a five-point Likert-type scale scored between 1-5 in the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale in the second part. In scale scoring, I'm not satisfied at all; 1 point, I'm not satisfied; 2 points, I'm indecisive; 3 points, Satisfied; 4 points, I am very satisfied; It is evaluated as 5 points. There are no reverse scored items in the scale. The Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale consists of 20 items that determine the level of intrinsic, extrinsic and general satisfaction. The trait anxiety scale developed by Spielberger (1970) was used to examine the trait anxiety levels. The scale was adapted to Turkish by Öner and Le Compte. The scale is a 20-item scale. The lek is 4l Likert type graded. It is accepted that trait anxiety scores increase as they approach 4 and decrease as they approach 1. The scores obtained from the scale theoretically vary between 20 and 80. Big score means high anxiety level, small score indicates low anxiety level. SPSS 22 package program was used for the analysis of the data obtained in the study and% Frequency, Index Samples T Test, One Way Anova Tests were applied. The significance level was evaluated as P <0.05. As a result; It was determined that the sub-dimensions and trait anxiety levels of the football referees' job satisfaction scale were above the average. It can be said that football referees are anxious. It is thought that with our work, football referees will change their perspective on the refereeing profession and will contribute to the work done later
