TEACHERS THROUGH THE EYES TURKEY’S MİDDLE EAST POLİCY

Abstract

The Middle East, which is one of the oldest settlement basins in the history of humanity, has preserved its importance in every period of history, and was one of the most active geographies of each period. The Middle East, which attracted attention due to its location in terms of its location, climate and soil conditions during the ancient civilizations, has gained the characteristic of a bridge of civilization that provides the connection between east and west in the recent past with its location on historical silk and spice roads (Şahin ve Çoban, 2018). Research to determine the views of teachers on Turkey's Middle East policy is conducted using the phenomenology of qualitative research methods. The study group Research 2019-2020 academic year, Turkey's different from different branches who work in the regions accounted for 14 teachers. In the research, interview method was used as a data collection tool. Data were collected using standardized open-ended interview method. As a result of the research, when teachers in the Middle East called the Syria-Iraq-expressing their Iranian countries, the Middle East's most powerful countries as Turkey and they see Israel, the war in the region where oil is the most important reason to act in order to protect Turkey's border security, applied findings have been reached that policies cause military and economic losses and are concerned about the future of the Middle East.
