Abstract

The concept of space is a naturally artificial or perceptually defined area. Human beings have perceived various spaces since their existence and have been active. Space is the whole of the systems that a person describes with all his perception and sense organs. The belief system is one of the factors that affect the person's perception of space. Along with the behaviors such as living, sheltering, working, executing sociocultural activities, there are also places that they have built in line with beliefs, and just as these places create some differences or similarities within the intercultural interactions, they have started to be designed with certain lines within the currents that are formed. Religion and belief system started from the existence of a person just like sight, hearing and touch systems. With this study; Within the scope of the literature studies and discoveries, it is aimed to evaluate the perception of the person in the concept of space on religious buildings and to examine the effect of the ongoing trends on these spaces and the reflection of the concept of perception in spaces. Throughout the study, Islamic religious structures and Christian religious structures were mainly examined and the attitude of today's religious places under the influence of currents was examined.
