FROM STATE PLANNING ORGANIZATION TO MINISTRY OF DEVELOPMENT: CHANGE IN THE PLANNING APPROACH
DEVLET PLANLAMA TEŞKİLATI’NDAN KALKINMA BAKANLIĞI’NA: PLANLAMA ANLAYIŞINDA YAŞANAN DEĞİŞİM
Abstract
In this study, change process of planning is analysed by considering the implementation periods of planning since the establishment of Turkey. During the years expressed as the planned period, plans were prepared under the leadership of the State Planning Organization (SPO). SPO was abolished by establishing of Ministry of Development in 2011. This study deals with the reasons for the establishment of the Ministry of Development and the understanding of planning developed under the influence of the European Union has been revealed in accordance with the policy change.
