Abstract

In this study; the data on tea counsumption by consumers residing in Tokat central district are given. Proportional sampling method is used in determining sample volume. The main material of the study was obtained with questionnaire data by interviewing 272 people face-to-face. In the study, it was found out that 45.59% of the consumers consumed about 0.5-1 kg of tea per month, nearly all (92.65%) of them consumed black tea, 76.10% of them consumed hot tea, 59.19% of them consumed tea with sugar and 84.19% of them drink the most tea in during winter. The interesting result of the research was that 26,84% of consumers did not check the expiry date when purchasing tea and 80.88% did not know the number of 'Alo Food Hotline' while the rate of bachelor graduates was higher than the others (30,15%). In addition, the obtained data will be analyzed and interpreted using appropriate analysis methods.
