Abstract

In 17th century, many advice letters have been written in the Ottoman state. One of the advice letters is the in verse that was written by Kadiri Muhyiddin to present Sultan Murat IV until today only the transcript of National Library of advice letter belonging to Kadiri Muhyiddin has been known. But as a result of our researches, two transcripts of the text that were the transcript of Topkapı Palace Museum the only and complete transcript determined until today- and Atatürk Library of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. In the text, written with a simple and understandable language, many archaic words that are used in Old Turkish, Old Anatolian Turkish Turkey Turkish have been encountered. In his text Kadiri Muhyiddin has mentioned the political, military, judicial and economic status of the Ottoman geography and religious-mytical issues in 17th century. In this study, the information about the life of Kadiri Muhyiddin, who was one of the poets lived in 17th century, has been given and his transcript of Advice letters have been introduced. Also, Topkapı Palace Museum manuscript based on number Y. 2636 registered transcript, a detailed information about the type of text, the purpose of writing, the content have been given.
