Asserting that imamate is based on verse and nomination, Imamiyyah states that the imam is innocent like a prophet and that obedience to him is obligatory. Identifying imamate with prophecy and the imam with the Prophet, Imamiyyah makes twelve imams a partner of all the duties and attributes of prophecy as well. In addition to the esoteric characteristics of the tawils of Imamiyyah in order that it grounds its beliefs and understandings on, also the inconsistenciy of narrations that Imamiyyah quotes with historical realities, degrades the idea of identifying imamate with prophecy to a specific and sectarian level comment.},author={Nezir MAVİŞ},year={2019},journal={The Journal of Social Sciences}}
