This subject, being discussed by national and international fields, is waiting for solutions concerning the whole humanity. The studies of different disciplines have made the issue acquired an interdisciplinary characteristic. The aim of this qualitative and descriptive study is to reveal the status of the environmental education in Turkey by dwelling on national and global environmental problems. Within this context, some general information about the definitions of the environment and national and international environmental problems will be given. Then, a passage from environmental ethics to Islamic point of view will be made.
